It was a desire to work with wine on a daily basis that led Freddy into the restaurant world starting in his hometown of Sydney, Australia. After landing a Junior Sommelier position at Neil Perry's Rockpool Bar and Grill, Freddy had the opportunity to work with some of the worlds rarest wines, under the instruction of Australia's leading Sommeliers and later a Master Sommelier.
During this time he became Certified with the Court of Master Sommeliers while the restaurant achieved the coveted Wine Spectator Grand Award, the first in Australia. Freddy then moved to San Francisco, to be with his now wife, and has spent the past 5 years at the acclaimed restaurant Gary Danko honing his knowledge of American wine and service. He is now an Advanced Sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers.
